Lynn practices environmental and energy law as founder of Lynn Mitchell Law. Clients value her delivery of solid strategic legal advice, innovative business solutions and highly effective advocacy. Her practice covers all aspects of environmental and energy issues, including litigating private and public disputes, advising on transactions, assisting with permitting and compliance and responding to crisis events.

Lynn’s experience as an advocate and advisor derives from her past practice with two leading national firms. She regularly appears before civil and criminal courts, regulatory tribunals and in arbitrations. However her practice is not limited to litigation. She brings solid business acumen to advising clients on all matters relating to the management of environmental risk and energy projects. This acumen was gained through her many years, prior to joining the practice of law, as a manager and executive in the financial services industry.

Lynn received an MBA from University of Toronto and later graduated on the Dean’s List in law from University of Toronto.

She is presently Past Chair of the Environmental Law Section of the OBA and is an executive member of the Environmental, Energy & Resources Law Section of the CBA. She shares her expertise in matters of current interest through developing and presenting at conferences and seminars and through client-specific on-site training seminars.
